Thanks

Dallas Griffin isn't your typical young lady, she wasn't raised to be a bubble gum popping hair twirling girl, she was raised to be  honorable and gallant in a veterans motorcycle club, even if it meant doing so in the shadows of life.  After having been released from a Mexican prison with no knowledge of how, or where, she wakes up on some dusty side street in the southeast. Dallas is tasked with making it across country to Florida and she isn't sure why. Halfway across the country on a stolen motorcycle, Dallas finds herself amassed in a  human trafficking ring that takes her way off course and risks jeopardizing her meeting in the southern tip of Florida the next day.

I have always noted ideas about writing, it wasn't until my mother began chemo that I began telling her stories to help hear deal with what chemo does to you. I am a single parent and absolutely love it, writing is a passion and even with my child, a home and a full time job I have still managed to publish 3 books in my first year alone. I am a history buff and avid outdoorsman in which my son shares many of my interests, as well as he is an amazing baseball player. I have hundreds of books in the works and remaining patient is frustrating. I have so many ideas that I want to share and doing it all as an Indie publisher has taught me alot.

MY THOUGHTS

We have a real roller coaster ride in this read.  We have the main character Dallas Griffin who isn't anywhere near your idea of what a prim and proper young lady should be.   She's not in need of rescuing. She can take care of herself.  She holds her own and doesn't step back from threats.   She's a girl, a biker mama.  She's got the leathers, not some party dress.    She goes in her own way, not intimidated by anyone.  She's cute and sweet looking but underneath she's hell on wheels.   Don't try backing her into some corner, because she'll come out fighting. She feels the best with the wind in her hair, her bike under her and the open road.    She's no novice at bike riding.  She started at the age of fourteen.   She doesn't start the trouble, but if it comes looking, she's not going not back down.    It's respecting yourself and respecting others.
She did a long prison sentence for some poor judgements.  She was caught parting out stolen motorcycle parts.   She did it and she owns up to it.
After many days of guards trying to have their way with her, humiliating her and treating her extremely badly, she woke up on a Mexican side street, dirty and dusty.  The only thing s he knows is she needs to make it across country to Florida, She doesn't know why, but she knows she's got to.   She steals a motorcycle and off she goes, with the wind in her hair, the sun on her back and not two pennies to rub together.   She will get there, come what may.   She is waylaid.   She ends up right smack dab in the middle of a human trafficking ring.   She has to get to Florida.   How does she get away?   Will she get to Florida for whatever reason she feels she must?
This book is down to earth, real, just the way things happen.  The language may shock you but it's a fact.  That's the way things are on the rough side of the tracks.   You can't be a pansy, you can look cute and sweet, you have to stand up for yourself, whatever the cost and above all.   You ride, you do what you have to, and there's no sugar that will coat the real world.   The author makes the reader feel as though you are one of Dallas' biker buddies.   You can feel that wind in your hair, the sun on your back and the open rode under your bike.   You can picture the prison scenes with such clarity.  The author writes it like it is, leaving the sugar and cream out.  Just straight life.
You could almost believe this is a true story. The author has given so much detail, that it appears real.   So grab a copy and take a wild ride with Dallas and let loose.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author and Word Slinger Publicity and voluntarily decided to review it

I would give this book 4 Stars.
