 Product Details

Ellie the Elephant and her friend Pudgy the Penguin are off on another adventure. This time, readers will join the duo on a trip to the farm in order to see exactly where the food they eat is grown and raised.  From a ride on a huge red tractor to meeting the locals - including a turtle, bunny, sheep, cow, and many more adorable animals, - Ellie and Pudgy have fun making new friends and learning about the world around them. Co-written by author Marci Fair and her twelve year old daughter Elle, this newest addition to the Amazing Adventures of Ellie the Elephant series encourages children to use their imaginations in order to embrace --and create--adventures of their own!

Marci Fair is a working mother of four who has always encouraged her children’s love of reading. Alongside her professional career, Marci founded Kares 4 Kids, a nonprofit organization that has served over 30,000 children since its founding in 2005. She is also the author of TILT: 7 Solutions to Be a Guilt-Free Working Mom and encourages parents to remember that “Balance is impossible; memories are better.”
Elle Fair is Marci’s twelve-year-old daughter and collaborator for the Amazing Adventures of Ellie the Elephant series. Her two favorite stuffed animals are the basis for the series that she and her mom have been creating since Elle was eight. A fan of books and stuffed animals both, Elle enjoys collaborating and speaking on this creative endeavor with her mom.

MY THOUGHTS
This little book is so cute, so many interesting things to do, not just read.  The book has find the differences pictures, crossword puzzle, wonderful actual photos and a lot of farm animals to meet.   So much to learn and yet so fun to do it.    A lot of children these days don't know where their food comes from.  Some have never been on a farm and don't know what farm animals are.  That seems a bit over board but it's true.   Have  you or your children been on a farm?  Have you ever ridden on a tractor?   Not the new fangled modern, air conditioned with radio tractors but the old red, rusted tractors?  Every child should experience this.  Seeing exactly what a farm is, the animals, the foods we eat and where and how they come from.  This little book gives the children and adults who have never had that chance, a look into farm life.  Children these days are missing so much.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the authors, Elle and Marci Fair, in exchange for my unbiased and honest view.

I would give this book 5 STARS.
