REVIEW
What could be a parent's worst nightmare?   Abduction of your child.   How could a person manage losing his wife in an accident and then the disappearance of his six year old daughter?  He finally remarried and has a son with his new wife.  What could be the shock of your life?  His daughter, now thirteen reappears.  The author wrote a heart beating and very strong thriller.  As we read the author gradually takes us over the previous years and what had happened to Natasha.    Then tragedy strikes again.  David's second child is taken.  Emma, his mother can't decide to involve the police or not.  Finally DCI Tom Douglas becomes involved.  The author writes about Tom's late brother Jack and how he fits into this story.
Ms. Abbott writes  complex and yet very believable thrillers and this book was no exception.  The book makes you stop and think, what would I do if this were to happen to me?  I just don't know if I'd have enough control to keep it together and find who has been doing these horrible things.  The plot is about an evil group of criminals who are in the dark underworld of child criminals.  As you read the book you don't know who you can trust and who you can't.  A page turner it definitely is.  You will be on the edge of your seat constantly.  The author wrote the book so well that you are there, you can see what is going on and in your mind you are trying to figure out if there are secrets that should be revealed.
This book could be either fact or fiction.  That is quite an accomplishment for an author.  You decide?

I received a complimentary copy of STRANGER CHILD from the author, Rachel Abbott for my view of the book.

I would give this book 5 STARS.
