The infamous Dalton Gang was once known for riding—and playing—hard. Now, as owners of the Dalton Ranch in Crow Hill, Texas, they’re working from sunup to sundown. But one look from the right woman can tempt them back into the saddle…

When a walk on the wild side turned into a nightmare for Everly Grant, she escaped her abusive ex by taking a job with Crow Hill’s small newspaper. Now she’s assigned to write a human interest story on the return of the Dalton Gang, and she soon discovers that Boone Mitchell could give her plenty more than a good interview. As much as she craves safety, she finds herself irresistibly drawn to Boone’s dangerous streak. Before she takes the cowboy to bed, she lays down the law: There are no strings attached, and she’s the one in charge.

That’s fine for Boone. In fact, Everly teaches him things no other woman ever dared. Soon they find themselves wanting more than their simple arrangement will allow. But to get there, Everly will have to open up in ways she thought she never could…

"Alison Kent's Dalton Gang trilogy is one of the best-kept secrets in the erotic western genre" --Heroes and Heartbreakers
Alison KentA native Texan, Alison sold one of the first of her over fifty published works live on the "Isn't It Romantic?" episode of CBS 48 Hours. The resulting book, CALL ME, was a Romantic Times finalist for Best First Series Book. Alison's book, A LONG, HARD RIDE, part of Harlequin's 60th Anniversary celebration, was nominated for an RT Reviewer's Choice Award for Best Harlequin Blaze of 2009. STRIPTEASE, a 2003 release from Harlequin Blaze and part of her popular gIRL-gEAR series, was also an RT Reviewer's Choice Award nominee.

Her 2005 Kensington Brava release, THE BEACH ALIBI, was a nominee for the national Quill Awards, sponsored by Reed Business Information. Alison is also the author of THE COMPLETE IDIOT'S GUIDE TO WRITING EROTIC ROMANCE, and her 2009 novel, NO LIMITS, was a Cosmopolitan Magazine Red Hot Read. She has been blogging since 2002, and is active on Twitter and Facebook.

If there's a better career out there than writing, she doesn't
want to know about it, as she's quite happy putting pen to paper in the backyard of her Texas home. That's where she lives with her petroleum geologist husband, three rescue dogs, one a Hurricane Katrina survivor, and a colony of not-quite-feral cats, battling the heat each year to raise a bumper crop of tomatoes and jalapeno peppers.
I haven't had the opportunity to read the first two books, but my oh my, was this one heart beating good.  The three books are stand alones but I know I have to read the other two.  If they are anything like this one, Whoa, hang on.
The Dalton boys grow up in Crow Hill and it seemed like they were always in trouble together.  Dave and Tess Dalton had a ranch and the boys went there where they saw good old fashioned hard work,  good work ethics and two people who didn't pass judgement but just cared. The boys left to make their own lives after high school.  The Dalton's left the ranch in Crow Hill to the boys after their death. The boys each had their own amends to make and the demons to overcome.I had a favorite Dalton boy.  Boone was one major hunk of cowboy.    There was an attraction between Boone and Everly.  Those sheets got mighty warm. They both brought baggage to the relationship but they were so attracted to each other, it couldn't be denied. They both have a dream of a bright future together.   Will that happen? The author took the infamous Dalton Gang and showed a side of them that was just the opposite of taking a walk on the wild side.  They had that bit of love and caring in them, in spite of being  hard riding, reckless cowboys that took way too many risks.

I you like hot, sexy cowboys then you'll love Boone and the other boys.  Just the cover is  enough to get you started.  Even then you'll find you'll be stopping and looking that cover over and over again.

I was given a complimentary copy of UNFORGETTABLE by Alison Kent and Manic Readers for my view of the book.  No other compensation took place.

I would give this book 5 STARS.
