If you build it, love will come…to Hope's Crossing.
Alexandra McKnight prefers a life of long workdays and short-term relationships, and she's found it in Hope's Crossing. A sous chef at the local ski resort, she's just been offered her dream job at an exclusive new restaurant being built in town. But when it comes to designing the kitchen, Alex finds herself getting up close and personal with construction foreman Sam Delgado….
At first glance, Sam seems perfect for Alex. He's big, tough, gorgeous—and only in town for a few weeks. But when Sam suddenly moves into a house down the road, Alex suspects that the devoted single father of a six-year-old boy wants more from her than she's willing to give. Now it's up to Sam to help Alex see that, no matter what happened in her past, together they can build something more meaningful in Hope's Crossing.

 REVIEW

The author, Ms. Thayne  has given us another wonderful read.  It's a class romance with the setting in a small town filled with wonderful characters. A dream that has been hers for her entire life is about to be fulfilled with chef Alexandra McKnight. She will be in charge of her own restaurant, her very own.  She is lucky being surrounding by people who care, a loving family.  She has just bought er first home.  She loves to make meals for those in need, one of those being her friend Caroline who is elderly.  Alexandra even took in a stray Lab in need of love.  Life is good.  But as we all know there is always something that puts a side step in that perfect life..  This being her attraction that keeps growing to Sam   Delgado.  Romance can put some little hic cups in your life.  Sam is an ex Army Ranger and widower.  A looker for sure with muscles, talent and a heart that can't get any bigger.  He just happens to be the one who is helping with Alex's new kitchen.  The attraction is two sided, but Sam is a little uncomfortable since whenever he is around Alex he is happy.  He just isn't sure.  The stop caution lights light when Sam introduces his little boy Ethan to  Alex.  She thinks he is the smartest cutest little thing she's ever seen, but she knows now she could be falling in love with both of these men? She has second thoughts about love.  The author tells about her past and her relationships with men.  Will Alex forget the past and the hurt and fall for Sam?  Much to Max's disappointment, Alex doesn't think she wants to go there.  The author has her fighting the inevitable for most of the book.  Alex is fight with every thing she has.  But will Sam get through and break that wall?
The author wrote many good descriptions of the characters, a romance that gets off to a rather rocky start and all in all the book was a keeper.  If you like those good, hunks of men, while Sam meets the bill.  You can't help but like him.  I wish I had read some of the other books.  Hope to be on my TBR list soon.

I was given a complimentary copy of Currant Creek Valley from the author, RaeAnne Thayne and Night Owl Reviews for my view of the book.  No other compensation took place.

I would give this book 4 STARS.
