John Cruise was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. He has a Bachelor's Degree of Political Science and Master's Degree in Creative Writing.

John's personal interests range from politics to religion and basketball to poker. His freelance writing career allows him to explore new topics everyday. He has three sons under 10 and grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee.

I found this book to be very interesting and informative.  The book is a short read but worth the time to read and re-read. I know I have often thought why I forget things so easily.  The author goes into detail on how to fight this problem.  Mr. Cruise has given many important ways to increase your memory.  The author explains why people forget and how to go about working on it. I always thought that not getting enough sleep had something to do with how well you would remember things the next day.  Evidently sleep is very important in your memory retention.  The author also goes into some very good memory aids.Another thing that I had thought about was smells and how sometimes they will bring back a memory. One of the things I found very important and interesting was the explanation as to why we forget.  There are so many reasons why we forget.  Sometimes they are self motivated and others.

I would recommend this book to everyone, young, not so young, readers who are interesting in improving their memory.  I found the book quite easy to read and understand.  It didn't bore me.  I felt the author's tips would be a great help in boosting your memory.  I believe there was a lot of research by the author on this subject.  I liked the fact that so much information was put into a small read and yet didn't overwhelm you.  The author got to the point and didn't bore you with unnecessary details. The cover was magnificent.

I received a complimentary copy of HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR MEMORY from the author John Cruise for my view of the book.  No other compensation took place.

I would give this book 5 STARS.
