From bestselling author Kathleen Y'Barbo comes Sadie's Secret, the third book in The Secret Lives of Will Tucker series. These historical novels capture the romance of the South mingled with adventure and laced with secret identities and hidden agendas.
Louisiana, 1890--Sarah Louise "Sadie" Callum is a master of disguise, mostly due to her training as a Pinkerton agent but also from evading overprotective brothers as she grew up. When she takes on a new assignment with international connections, she has no idea her new cover will lead her on the adventure of a lifetime.
Undercover agent William Jefferson Tucker is not looking for marriage--pretend or otherwise--but his past is a secret, his twin brother has stolen his present, and his future is in the hands of the lovely Sadie Callum. Without her connections to the world of upper-crust New Orleans, Jefferson might never find a way to clear his name and solve the art forgery case that has eluded him for years.
Only God can help these two secret agents find a way to solve their case and uncover the truth about what is going on in their hearts.

MY VIEW
The book starts with a short story of Miss Merriweather’s Marriage then Flora’s Wish and Millie’s Treasure. Then we go to SADIE'S SECRET, Louisiana 1890, which starts out with our main character, Sadie Callum.  She is a Pinkerton  agent. She has five overly protective brothers that seem to be everywhere she is.  Her parents want her safe at  home on Callum Plantation.  She is their only daughter.  She helps get a man released from prison and now it is her job to watch over him.  She doesn't mind since he a hunk of a man.
The man she is watching, William Jefferson Tucker just spent a year of his life in prison.  Why?  He has an identical twin brother. William John Tucker is on the run again and William Jefferson is arrested and served time for William John's crime. Now this I found rather odd.  His name is William John Tucker.  Yep, their father named them the same first name but changed their middle name.  William John was a selfish man, thinking of himself and only himself.  Then there was William Jefferson who takes the law very seriously and now works for Scotland Yard while his brother is just like the men William Jefferson puts away.

The other books in the series have different Pinkerton agents but I found this one full of adventure, a tad humor, some mystery and best of all....romance.

I would suggest you start with the first book in the series and go to the next and then the next.  That way you will get the background of what is going on.

I was given a complimentary copy of SADIE'S SECRET by Kathleen Y'Barbo from Harvest House Publishers for my view of the book.  No other compensation took place.

I would give this book 5 STARS.
