DAUGHTERS OF TWILIGHT

When an earthquake measuring seven on the Richter scale hits the tiny town of Waterloo, Iowa, life gets very strange indeed for the locals. A dark, hulking, pyramid-shaped tower pushes its way up through a corn field in Blackhawk County, thrusting the city into turmoil and into the national spotlight.
The “Black Tower” as it's called is believed to be dormant, but when special tactical teams are sent inside to investigate, special team member Dane Coles is confronted by the impossible: a beautiful creature who claims to have been cursed and cast down into oblivion within the Garden of Eden. Now, the mystery creature is using the Black Tower as a doorway to the surface.
Coles has been trained for encounters with creatures made of real flesh and bone and blood, not for encounters with supernatural beings. What is he to do with this intelligence – and this “angel?”
The author wrote a part sci-fi, part action and part adventure. Then the author added a mysterious black tower that mysteriously appears after an earthquake. Then appears an egocentric scientist and powerful winged females. This book is just full of wonderful,, mysterious beings and powers. The book reads fairly fast and is the good vs. evil theme.
I got so intrigued by the group of beautiful women who just mysteriously appeared. Apparently they have been buried beneath the earth. Living beneath the earth how did these women survive? Are the scientists there to use them for their own selfish reasons? Or are they there to learn? What is the purpose of the women? Do they have an agenda? Could they be Angels? And if so are they good angels or bad? When there is a connection between one man and one of these women, what is going to happen? Will they like fall in love as normal life has it? There were so many twists and turns in this book, there wasn't time for getting bored. Those pages had to turn. No choice about it. The author takes you on an action filled adventure with characters that are life like. I would recommend this book to anyone that loves sci-fi, paranormal or mysteries than give this book a try. I was amazed at the characters in this book and I just couldn't put it down. KEEP WRITING, Ms. Fink. I want more.
I received a complimentary copy of DAUGHTERS OF TWILIGHT from the author, Collette Jackson-Fink for my personal view of the book. No other compensation took place.
I would give this book 4 STARS.
