OVERVIEW
(from Amazon)
Gaby Mortimer is the woman who has it all. But everything changes when she finds a body on the common near her home. She’s shaken and haunted by the image of the lifeless young woman, and frightened that the killer, still at large, could strike again.

Before long, the police have a lead. The evidence points to a very clear suspect. One Gaby never saw coming . . .

Full of twists and turns, this is a dark and suspenseful psychological thriller that will make you second guess everything. Because you can never be too sure about anything, especially when it comes to murder.

REVIEW
Once you start this book you will be on a wild, psychological roller coaster of who dun' it.
Our ride starts out with a well known TV co-host, Gaby Mortimer.   She's out for a run and discovers a very dead body.  Before she knows it, she's being questioned by the local  cops who has her as a suspect.  They keep her since she can't make bail.   Ania Dudek, the dead woman, was strangled.  The odd thing is it appears she has ties to the Mortimers.  Is Gaby the murderer or is she being framed for some reason. It appears rather odd, even though her husband has an alibi, he takes off for a business trip in Singapore just as Gaby is being interrogated.  Something is wrong in this marriage.  We might have another suspect, Marta, the nanny to Gaby's daughter, Millie.  I found we have a lot of possible suspects.  The author gives you a lot to think about and to start weeding out the suspects and the ones who couldn't have been involved.  Don't get too comfortable, there's another suspect.  Gaby's has had a stalker for a while now.  Strange gifts have been left for Gaby.  This author, Sabine Durrant gives the reader a lot of twists and turns,a lot of details to keep the reader turning those pages trying to find out who is the suspect or suspects.  I started wondering if maybe there was more than one.  The local DI Perival and his partner PC Morrow seem pretty confident that Gaby is their one.
Gaby's life starts a downward spiral.  Jack Hayward, wants to help Gaby but as any journalist, he wants that exclusive story.  So Gaby joins Jack and they start to investigate the death and the possible motive.   Secrets start pouring out all over the place.  Will Gaby be the culprit, or will her darling husband surprise everyone.? What were the dead woman's ties to the Mortimers?  Who was the stalker? The web the author weaves in your mind will keep you thinking hard and long as you turn those pages to find the murderer.

The author wrote a novel that read slow enough that you could stop and think about the different suspects and their possible motives for the crime.  I wanted Gaby to be a little more assertive.  I mean after all, her life is at stake.  She is rather laid back about the whole thing.  There were times I just wanted to reach out and tell her to wake up.  You're in the middle of a murder.  I also had my doubts about Jack Hayward.  Was he really out to help Gaby or was the story more important?  So many questions to be answered.  The book doesnt' leave one moment for the reader to be bored.  I couldn't put the book down.  Psychological thriller?  That's putting it mildly.  The cover was rather creepy, in a subtle way.  I loved it.

Get yourself a copy, lock the door and settle in for a ride you won't forget.

I was given a complimentary copy of UNDER YOUR SKIN by Sabine Durrant from Night Owl Reviews for my honest view.  No other compensation took place.

I would give this book 5 STARS.
