PROOF OF  LIFE
(audio CD)
by
Scott Stapp

Scott Stapp, lead singer for the band, Creed. His first debut solo album,THE GREAT DIVIDE  was released in 2005. Now he has been working in the studio with his new solo album "Proof of Life". It is his second studio album due to be released on Nov. 5th.  This has been a soul searching personal record for the Creed lead singer.  Working with Scott was Howard Benson, acclaimed producer and Chris Lord-Alge, mixer to make this album his own creative vision. This is his first new material since 2012 and the uncensored memoir of his book SINNER'S CREED.  The album is a story of his journey and struggles.  He says it is the most honest record he's ever written.  It was produced by Howard Benson and mixed by Chris Lord-Alge. Scott received a Grammy Award for Creed's song WITH ARMS WIDE OPEN and numerous RIAA Certifications. In 2006, HIT PARADER ranked Stapp as the 68th greatest heavy metal vocalist of all time. The band disbanded in 2004 with tension growing between Stapp and the other members.  In 2004 Creed released the GREATEST HITS.  That was thought to be the last of Creed but the band reunited for a tour and new album  FULL CIRCLE  was released in October 2009. Creed toured North and South America, Canada, Europe and Australia during 2009 and 2010. A fifth album was said to come out in late 2011 or early 2012.  It never did. Stapp got back with his Creed band members in March 2012 for "2 Night" tour. They performed their first two albums, MY OWN PRISON and HUMAN CLAY.

 SCOTT STAPP
Scott Stapp
Scott Stapp, Creed's lead singer has put out a solo album PROOF OF LIFE. I believe Mr. Stapp was at a place in his life where he could be honest about what he has done and what he plans on doing.  I believe he has put that into the songs on PROOF OF LIFE.  I believe he wrote a completely heartfelt album. The title track PROOF OF LIFE has a traditional CREED sound.  I believe these songs were deeply personal for the rocker.  Songs that tell about the life he has lived. They tell of the mistakes he's made, the turn around in his life and his spirituality. This must have been hard for him to reveal such private and public things. I've heard others say that he is leaving something out, but how are we to know.  I look at it this way, if you enjoy the music, don't try to psychoanalyze it.  Just enjoy.

I would give this CD, PROOF OF LIFE by Scott Stabb 4 STARS.

I was given a complimentary copy of PROOF OF LIFE by Scott Stabb from Tyndale Publishing for my unbiased view.
