BOOK 1
WHERE IS SCALES?
Where Is Scales?by Celeste Little
Illustrated by Mike Motz

Published July 20th 2012 by Castlebridge Books

OVERVIEW- WHERE IS SCALES?
(from Goodreads)

Scales is missing! Where could he have gone?!? Join Tommy and his friends as they look high and low... (and in some very funny places) to find their favorite lost lizard!

REVIEW-
Little Tommy has a green lizard  with a red dot on his tail, named Scales.  One day, Tommy puts Scales in his pocket and takes him to school.  This is not allowed by the school, but the fun is yet to begin,   Scales goes looking for something fun.  Looking for Scales was fun for Tommy and his classmates. Ms. Little has given the little ones and some of us not so little ones, a wonderfully illustrated, very easy for young ones to read book.

Mr. Motz has done a wonderful job of combining color and characters that can be taken in by young ones.  The story and the illustrations hold the attention and interest of the young ones.  The book is 28 pages in length and is a fun read for the young and the young at heart. Most children love animals of all kinds.  The author created an adventure with Scales and Tommy showing that  friends need to help friends.  That friends should be able to depend on each other.  This is also a lesson on what should be taken to school and what shouldn't. Ms. Little and Mr. Motz combined color, characters, animals, friends to create a fun book that has lessons to be learned.   Children will learn in a fun way.
I think this would be a fun read for little ones to read or be read to.  It would also be fun for parents, grandparents, siblings and others to read to their little ones. Pick up a copy of WHERE IS SCALES? and go with Tommy and his friend on a learning adventure.

BOOK 2
AT THE PARK WITH TOMMY and SCALES
At the Park with Tommy and Scalesby Celeste Little

OVERVIEW-AT THE PARK WITH TOMMY AND SCALES
(from Amazon)

 Scales has gone missing again!
Now Tommy must search the park for his friend. There are so many places a little lizard could be, and so little time to find him!

REVIEW:
This is another wonderful children's book by Celeste Little. We already know that Tommy has a friend, a green lizard with a red dot on his tail. Scales, the lizard is a cute, funny little friend who shares the warmth of friendship with Tommy. Ms. Little uses her talents to create another little book that is a fun, interesting, colorful and has a few little lessons tucked in. The author has, in both books, introduced lessons in how to behave properly. The books are a fun way to learn these lessons.  I believe she has written for the right audience because children need to learn early what is appropriate and what is not.

Tommy sets out with his skateboard and heads to the park. Of course, Scales is right on his shoulder for the ride. Scales was in for a ride alright.Tommy was doing a trick on his skateboard when Scales went flying.  He lands on a poodle, of which upset the owner.  Scales then goes for a swim in the pond when Tommy tries to frighten little girls.  The brother of Tommy's friend, Lenny takes Scales.  Tommy must rescue Scales, but as Tommy finds Mike, Scales is gone. Lost?  Is Scales to be found? Will Tommy learn his lesson? Once again Ms. Little has written a delightful, lesson learning book for our precious ones.  When you pick up WHERE IS SCALES? why not pick up  this one too.

I gave both books  5 STARS.

I was given complimentary e-copies of both books from the author for my unbiased reviews.
