Gideon O’Riley has been given another chance at a life with Lonnie. But will the fight for her heart risk it all over again?
After finally finding love with his sweet bride Lonnie, Gideon’s heart was torn when a woman from his past claimed to be his true and rightful wife, forcing him away from his family. God’s merciful hand saw Gideon through the heartache, and with Cassie’s blessing, he is able to return home. But his journey back through the Blue Ridge Mountains will hold a trial he never anticipated.
Meanwhile, Lonnie determines to seal off her heart from Gideon, convinced he is lost to her forever. Strengthening her resolve to move on is her growing fondness for the handsome Scotsman, Toby McKee—the young reverend she has come to care for deeply. His proposal of marriage offers a bright future for her and her young son.
Yearning to allow joy back into her life, Lonnie must put aside the broken pieces of her heart that still love Gideon. When he returns to find her betrothed to another, he has to place his hope in God, trusting that the One who redeemed their love once can do it again.
MY HOPE IS FOUND is the third book in the series. I hadn't read the first two and I don't really like to read series out of sequence. This book can definitely stand alone. The author gives you some background to lead you into the story. The story takes place in Fancy Gap, Virginia in 1902.
Gideon had finally found love and was married to Lonnie and had a little boy, Jacob That love was torn when a woman from Gideon's past appeared and claimed to be his rightful wife.. He had no choice except to go with her as husband and wife. After time and with God's grace, Cassie decides to let him go. He then made his journey back through the Blue Ridge Mountains headed for home and his family. He had no idea what was waiting for him. After Gideon had left and gone with Cassie to be her husband, Lonnie decided to put Gideon out of her life and move on. She loved him but he was lost forever, She finds that she has come t o care for a young Reverend, Toby McKee. He proposes marriage to provide a good life for Lonnie, Jacob and Addie. Gideon arrives home and finds Lonnie is betrothed to Toby. Ms. Bischof wrote a wonderful story about finding love again and finding God. She didn't just write about happy times. The book was written as the lives of real people happen. You have your ups and downs and they don't always come out good. She gave you the feeling that you knew the characters. You could picture all of them. The author didn't just put in a few religious scenes. She brought about powerful inspirational lessons mixed in the everyday lives of the characters. She brought real life into the characters. They experienced pain, sadness, joy and God. I would recommend this book to everyone. The book is due to be released October the 15th. I hope you will pick up the first two books and read them until MY HOPE .IS FOUND is released. Ms. Bischof's books don't disappoint. They fulfill.
I gave this book 5 STARS.
