OVERVIEW
(from Amazon)

They tell the news but sometimes they are the news. When young Jonathan Miller moves from his job at a country radio station to work with his famous brother in a prestigious Washington DC station, he hopes his career, and maybe even his personal life will finally get a boost. At first this seems to be the case. He loves the work, and everyone at the station is like family. He even meets a new love. But things are not what they seem. Everyone one at the station has a secret. Some of these secrets are innocent, but one is deadly. Someone feels compelled to punish child abusers by cutting off their fingers and toes and leaving them to die. It's the leading story that everyone is talking about; The fingers and toes killer. Who is it. The prestigious and beautiful news anchor is already hiding her past and a secret second job. Could it be the naïve young priest, trying to help her and struggling with his vocation. Her famous co-anchor, dealing with problems with his wife and teen aged son? Even the TV reporter who captures Jonathan's heart is hiding an abusive relationship. But one of these, the problems of everyday life are not enough. They are compelled by secrets in their past to forge a second life as a killer. As the people in the station become more and more drawn in to what started as just another news story, it becomes clear that none of their lives will ever be the same, and for one of them this will be the end. Drawing on his twenty years of experience in radio and TV. Dan Kraft has given us a behind the scenes look at what happens when the job and the human heart intersect.

REVIEW
This book is by a new author, Dan Kraft.  It's only 155 pages but is a easy and interesting book. As soon as I started reading it, I was hooked.  The author included several interesting characters. I hope that there might be  a series with a continuation of the characters in this book. We have Jennifer who made her college money by being a striptease.  College led to a  TV station in DC.  She has a different life at night.  Then there is Christopher, who had been left on the Parish steps 25 years before.  He is now a priest.  The two meet and start a brother/sister relationship. The main character is Jonathan who goes to work at the same DC television station as his brother. Johnathan becomes at home and even finds a beautiful woman. As the characters are introduced in the story line, it seems the author brings them in just at the right moment. Each character has a secret of some kind.
The plot of the story has to do with  a killer.  Someone who is after child abusers. Who is working after hours killing child abusers? The author has you going down one path as to who is the killer.  So I thought I had it figured out.  Wrong.  Mr. Kraft adds an element of surprise as to who it is. The author did a good job of describing the characters so that you could visualize  them. You almost thought you knew them. The book is definitely a page turner, but much too short.  The author keeps you on the edge.  You are never sure who the killer is. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves murder mysteries.  The only problem  I had was I wanted more. Get yourself a copy of FINGERS,  TOES and MURDER and see if you can figure out who the killer is or maybe killers. I'd like to say WELL DONE to Mr. Kraft for his debut book.

I would give this book 4 STARS.

I received a complimentary copy of the book FINGERS, TOES and MURDER from the author Dan Kraft for this unbiased review.
