THE DAUGHTER'S EMMA by Saundra White

THE DAUGHTER'S EMMA                        5 STARS
A Larger Than Life Novel of Faith and Love

by Saundra White

OVERVIEW: (FROM AMAZON)
A larger-than-life novel of Faith and Love 1837 - 1855 America. . . provided opportunity, but also brought great trials and heartache. Journey through birth, death and life with true events in the lives of three families who helped each other with laughter, love and devotion. Emma and her family withstood tragedy with a strong, underlying faith in God to see them through. The 1837 Financial Panic in America was the motivator for the Smallwoods to pull up roots and travel west. The romances and marriages, the trials and tribulations of these real people bring laughter, tears and a heart-warming experience. Sue White is an ordained United Methodist Pastor who lives with her husband, John, in San Antonio, Texas. She is the mother of four grown children and eleven fabulous grandchildren. Sue is known in South Texas as a Workshop Leader, Retreat Leader, Teacher, Preacher and all-around servant of the Lord, Jesus Christ. She has travelled extensively to deliver the Gospel message of faith and life and probably will never retire. . . UNTIL!

REVIEW:
This story is a great way to escape the daily problems and just let yourself drift into the past, the mid 1800's. There are so many adventures and sadness, but joys to make the sadness less.America in the 1800's brought hardships and heartaches, but opportunity arose too. The author is giving us a chance to journey through the lives of three families during their births, deaths and true life events .  They were three separate families and yet one.  They helped each other with hope, love, joy and unselfishness.  An underlying strong faith in God allowed them to withstand tragedy and see it through.  You may find yourself joyful, teary eyed and a warmth growing in your heart,  This story is one of the best I've read.  It's not sugar coated. It's  real, the good with the bad.  It doesn't depress you but lifts your spirits when you see someone can struggle through the trials and tribulations back in the 1800's without all the modern conveniences.. We modern day people whine and stomp our feet every time something goes wrong.  Oh woe is me, what shall I do?  This book will be a reality check for some, which  is good.  We all need that occasionally.  So go grab the book, find a cozy place to sit and drift back to the past and enjoy THE DAUGHTER'S EMMA by Susan White  (Sue)

I received this complimentary book from the author, Sue White for this unbiased review.

I would give this book a solid 5 STARS.
