SUFFERING IN SILENCE by Carolyn Outlaw Kuhn

SUFFERING IN SILENCE
by Carolyn Outlaw Kuhn

   OVERVIEW:(from Outskirts Press)
As the dirty family secrets unfold, will the suffering ever end?

A story of a dysfunctional family's painful journey in coping with life's hardships, including alcoholism, a family rape, an incarceration, abandonment, and abuse. How can this family survive and heal? Can forgiveness and peace replace the years of anger and resentment? Truly an inspirational book dealing with forgiveness, healing, inner peace, and a family’s final journey.
REVIEW:
Once you pick this book up, you won't want to put it down. It's a true story written with so many emotions that many of us can relate to. While reading this book you may want to express your feelings verbally and emotionally. You may shed a tear, a smile, and sympathy.  The author had a lot of courage.  Writing this book expresses her feelings and emotions through time. It shows how at the end, forgiveness won and made her a better person, a stronger happier person. We all have a "secret" shame that we have kept hidden
through the years . Maybe this book will help those who have suffered and are suffering to seek help and learn to forgive those that have harmed them. It's not easy but the author did it and so can the rest of us.
I would recommend this book to everyone, even if you don't have a "secret shame". It may help you not only help yourself but to help others.

I give this book a solid 5 STARS.

Thanks go to Ms. Kuhn for this honest book.  It took courage.
