                                                                    a fallen Blade novel

OVERVIEW:(from Amazon)

For six years, former temple assassin Aral Kingslayer has been living as a jack of the shadow trades, picking up odd jobs on the wrong side of the law. But the past is never dead, and Aral’s has finally caught up to him in the beautiful, dangerous form of Jax Seldansbane—a fellow Blade and Aral’s onetime fiancée.

Jax claims that the forces that destroyed everything Aral once held dear are on the move again, and she needs his help to stop them. But Aral has a new life now, with a fresh identity and new responsibilities. And while he isn’t keen on letting the past back in, the former assassin soon finds himself involved in a war that will leave him with no way out and no idea who to trust…

 REVIEW:

The Blade novels are absolutely fabulous.  The author takes you into a fascinating world of characters that have many skins.  You have the opportunity to follow the characters through many different scenes.  Dark places such as dungeons, rooftops,  lonely dark alleys and so many other places. The author brings you a hero who is not your perfect idea of a hero. Aral the jack, is not perfect, his outlook has a darkness to it.  Always on the wrong side of the law and so down on himself and life.  He realizes the past is always there; it never dies.

The author has an extraordinary imagination.  The stories are not the same boring stories in each book.  The scenes and situations change along with the characters. This leads for another book, another book that will be bought and read.  The author doesn't allow you time to turn those pages fast enough.  You have to know what is going on just as fast as you can.

I would recommend this book to anyone.  Buy it for your library or your computer. You won't be sorry.

I give this book 4 STARS.

I was given a complimentary copy of this book from Night Owl Reviews for this unbiased review.
